Phase II?

Just what is Phase II? I'm not sure what I meant at the time. It was an allusion* to the investigation that never was done on the use of intelligence in the run-up to the Iraq resolution. "We need some movement" was a reference to what Bush wanted on the Middle East Crisis or the U.N. in general.

My "bullet" points were on target to hint at the concept that the movement needed to come in his own administration. No triumvirate[E.D.] of past presidents will have any more success in diplomacy than the call for ceasefire or possibly the lack of demand for one.

The interesting tangent(s) noted in the footnote below were more accurately a triagulation. My implication was to save you the time by indication it was only a link to a dictionary. But the triumvirate link was more than tangent in the word "allusion"s relationship to illusion and delusion. All useful terms in foreign policy or diplomacy, but the magic may be in their administration. The fact is that we have a triumvirate designed into the constitution. Three branches of power, that serve to "check and balance". September 11th may have changed all that, but my opinion that it was preemptive in nature, merits serious consideration of and by the media and the people.

Any involvment by intermediaries to the administration should adress them first. The only hope is that it is Nixonian in nature, but like Nixon to China, where can Bush go? [Now that is a tangent and an allusion, and a dilemma.] Bush could go to the Saudis or the Corporations or just Oil and demand that they stand for freedom and democracy. Or the people could just change congress and work to bring back the triumvirate.

Phase II also pertained to the advances that have been made to my blog in the area of providing video links and the ability to comment. Both relate to the pacing and content that needs further review or work, the former looking back and the latter moving forward.

Here are two pieces that could be used as a table of contents for my points made over the years and summarized above.**

On authoritarianism or "Do as I say, not as I do"

And The Hidden Power or con-science.

I guess maybe Phase II means that I will do more "hard work" so that the read will be easier for my audience.

Un-Exceptionalism

Are there conflicts of interest in economics today?

Undoubtedly[!]
Buy definition and nature.

This may take us back to my Try-UNism, and one, none or all of punderous pondering.
[Mid-post tangent and update.]

No Twain in Try-ing. Well, I did not mean to display un-exceptionalism by example, as in "there he goes again." But my original point was that conflicts of interest are what economics and politics and government are all about. There, is that clear enough?

The "Try-UNism" is a pun in this regard. A sorting of one, none or all. Now, technically the physics might be beyond anyone to say if freedom is a force, and psychologically it may be closer to philosophy for some. But economically, I am saying that without an intent, we will be getting only where we are going, and even that is not a won way street.

My apologies for any missed links or leaps(in your scroll or click-on), but it is an ongoing process. Economics contains and is about conflicts of interest, and politics and government, play crucial rolls for (sum) people.

In regards to my lede, Un-Exceptionalism, I take it from one of the economists, who notes that any field will present conflicts of interest between the professional and the profession or the field if it has a purpose other than the individual. Well, he did not go that far, but I think he could. The "one, none or all" of my tangent relates to Exceptionalism, as it is seen, possibly in that light.

BTW: The first three links are an economic series of videos. Other links may require clicking on and scrolling the link address for a compendium of purpose. For example, "Buy definition and nature". The first two simply reference the ledes. The "be-all-and-end-all" a reference from part 3 of series. The "funny-thing-happened" is a recap of the CW. And regarding "nature" the address is a search of my blog for "Adam+Smith"(without, now with the quotation marks). Skipping over the "Try-UNism" and "Mid-post tangent"(lines) the Twain is deeply embedded in Trying.
[Speaking of exceptions(won): just to be sure.]

Or YouTube [!]

Now... the rest of the Harvey, for Pete sake (and Mary).^^

What transpired this morning was opening my blog from my desktop and reading "Mysterious "(scroll over or click on).  A Ty Cobb reference was embedded in my post.  He was also embedded(earlier) in a family photo as a frame liner or stuffing in the form of a Seattle papers sports section.  His batting average was around .410 at the time.  The photo is of my grandfather on skid row. (I walk past it every day as I come down the stairs for breakfast.) But it was not our dad's Skid Road.  It was a logging camp taken by an historic*** photographer with my granfather proudly centered.

Literal Flip-flop?**
Not to tangent.*
[sorry for the anachronistic asterisks]

Obama is Ty Cobb in the following context:
The saying "All is fair in love and war" comes to mind. A google search brought up reference to Ty Cobb’s ability to stretch the rules and was used in reference to modern business tactics. Business aside, though that is the world he^ came from, it is interesting that some^ would make more rules (whether for couples or nations) when they in particular have trouble with following those that exist.
(but on the level field of dreams.)

The Stick and the Carrot? POWER OF WILL?

Let Senator Spectre speak, and Senator Feingold carry the stick. The stick is the carrot that fills the will.

THANK YOU, RACHEL MADDOW
[ a tangent from her view of Spectre, as "speaking strongly and carrying a tiny stick" and the metaphor came to my usage today, on the whole gang, but here is what may be better filter in my search, not necessarily an endorsement , but a great idea: Even the counter intelligence can leak a point, meaning you cannot sue the president, but you can Impeach, subject dropped, but you can sue departments, and they are adding a crew there now.]

There is no one decider. There are three branches of government and the law is in the hands of the legislative with the power of the purse and war. The great decider may be above, but the great interpreter is not just the judiciary. Justice and the law must be above all, and we are all under it. To heck with the geometry, but is the will of the people, despite what will has been flip flopped. Not that any people are above the law, but must be part of the higher goal than just the process, or just below the process.

So speak softly and carry a big stick, but do not speak of the stick, but consider the carrot, if you talk preemption it is too late.

[Not to make light of food or metaphors, but there may be something to the Cain and able of 9-9-9. The number may not be important or that it is the flip-flop of 6-6-6. but that there is nothing wrong with a flat tax, if there are flat, and sufficient but limited deductions and exemptions, as well as a sufficient safety net. Note no mention of capital gains which I read as considered income.]

Swift Reading!

"Is Growth the Be-All and End-All?

Exactly.
Exactly.
Exactly.

The economy is neither.
(Grammatically I am uncertain if a comma is needed or where, or if none is more to the points.)
Meaning it depends on perspective, not to mention choice of words, and sometimes two are not enough and one too many.

Where am I going? Exactly. Well not to be redundant, but...

Where have we been? Ourstory.
THAT IS TOO THE POINT.
Exactly and NOT.

* * *
Tangent or more to the point later and backing up to the present, I used to label such work QCON (Quick Comment On the News) , the N could stand in for nuts, or where it leads or where they come from, but I segue now, to the point. Good Piece! Despite my preemptive take on it, meaning, I have not finished or even read too much of it, but am sticking my preemptive neck out. But here is the catch or rather another perspective that I have applied the same methodology as well as possibly the subjects. That is somehow seeing between the leaps that others make or seeing that they have leaped to or fro a starting point, as well as what got us here.(Ourstory) [grammatical note: yes "fro" as in... well suffice to say I did edit check the sentence a time or too, and let it stand.]
But one point, whether the chicken or egg:
Hmmm? (dot, dot, dot) or rather

Well... based on a mistaken impression found in search of "be all and end all" the following came up. In furtherance of my methodology it could be labeled "Course Filter".
Course as in navigable and holey. Or wholly and holy.

But again I tangent to a possibly better place, whether by intention or error this may be the point. Given that I was not sure of this path but the point I used to get here was in my mind presumptive or nonetheless a found by a search.

This may take a reread and result in no recourse but at least it is not swift boating or hit and run. ID the future or id the future or the exception proves my rule. The search is ours.

Leaking Intelligence

Why are Republicans Forcing a Shutdown of Government? This is the ledership to a preemptive thought bubble blown earlier. i.e. I thought that the Republicans are going to force a shut down because they have already blamed one on the Democrats just as the Democrats are about to present their compromise. Now this is not to predict a shutdown, but it is easy for the Republicans to predict one. And indeed it may only be in the Democrats power to force one. Just look at Wisconsin. Woops, even their out of state filibuster did not stop the Republicans. Now, cutting the jest and my tangent. Back to the thought bubble. The Republicans may force a shutdown to blame the Democrats, or the Democrats may force a shutdown to hold their horses. It seems that false equivalents, make it either the Trojan Horse or the Four Horseman. But back to my thought bubble, I just said that.

{Further leaking of nuance and exceptionalism, the so-called Constitutionalists, orginal intenders, and frackin' flip-floppin' neo-cons or Libertarians forget all about the Bush administration and the congressional behaviour then. As I have sketchily outlined the constitution and the war powers act and the partiot act, the president is within his powers until the law or the spirit changes it. How much Iron Knee or I Ron Knee is there that the UN Libya resolution is Numbered 1973? Or that the Patriot act was just extended?

BTW: Freedom is not a license, in reaction to or spin-off of Bill Maher, in respect to the requirement of humor for him and not Beck or O'Reilly, and I might add or Trump a few others.

Hint:
on labels and scroll-over tangent I have not always read nor will I read (or reread)all links that are embedded in my blog. But I do wish to note them as sometimes serving as footnotes which I sometimes google post post, which sometimes may just be scrolled over or glannced at after clicking on to get the gist of.

[Toxic Leak? I am concerned with the roles that government spouses play. Not to mention Media Matters and its battle with FOX related to its non-profit status. But let me burst my thought bubble. The Republicans may not hold together on the ability to shut it down, but it will likely be another extention. I don't think either side wants to shut it down, but look who's talking.]
[Speaking of breaking or thought: here is the why, which will be inserted later, but it is for now to get the Democrats to move, and blame them for failure when the Republicans can move the line away a better economy. Stuck bubble: Should Corporate Executive go to jail for killing people? No, since corporations are people the whole corporations should. Just being facitious but really, they should be paying the same taxe rates as people, and have passports.]

THE COUNCIL OF NICE

versus THE COURSE OF TRICKLE DOWN:

What we need is a Council of Nice, and anyone who does not want to be, can go to a place of their own choosing or can choose who will tell them where to go, and see if that gets them there.

But seriously, it would be nice if we had a benevolent dictator, but would that really stop the blaming?

Talk about having a polarized choice...this should at least argue for more choice, but others think that even the argument is not needed. Where will that get us?

Apparently they think the ultimate place, and that is hard to argue.

[This was composed following the June 30th 20/20 and saved in draft after a few posts on their message board into July 1st and first emailed in present form on July 8th.]

THE LIAISON REPORT:
Between Common Sense and Kant

[Just a quick tangent on the topic of where this is coming from:]

My thinking is somewhere between what Bush thinks is common sense and just thinking that one is thinking. It may be all about me: a wannabe pundit, benevolent dictator and general do-gooder. But seriously, somewhere between what the press should have been wondering and where Bush wonders not.

But back from that tangent, a new book apparently has done much of the research on what I merely quipped about.[Hint: Not so far fetched, as the principle is that we would all love to be dictators.] But of course most people do not want to filter through what academics have worked on, but that is the point of his book, there are those that think they are free and those that don't know they are not. It may not be that simple, but it's title is: Conservatives Without Conscience by John Dean.

WHAT NERVE!

We know he has nerve, but does he have a conscience. When he was running the first time, his conscience not the law was his guide, and he is still on the same course. The Einstein and King George III juxtaposition about following one’s conscience no matter the state is another interesting twist on uncurious George being worried about his own nerve. He is the state and he has only nerve. While he serves others I might add.

On the immigration tangent, if labor is only a substance to be used by those with the power to do so, then it is a drug where the users and abusers should be reigned in. This may mean a new perspective on the health of individuals and the community as well. Retrogressing to my earlier less footnoted or linked style of commentary, I will try to catch up on these later.

Before closing this post I was going to provide only one link, but ran across a news item where only the title sent me on a tangent to a comment:
What the heck is wrong with having a locally adjusted tax credit for the cost of living, by state. That would involve a deduction for the basic costs of living and then a flat rate based on the cost of doing business and government. More details may be the devil, but not necessarily any worse than requiring health care or pushing healthcare savings plans.

NOTE: The "more details" were not that bad in this case as they were more or less just a I imagined and went off on.

Inciteful?

Insightful, not incitable.
It occurred to me that Letterman maybe threw out a pun in this exchange.
In that the heat of the recent debate had some value. It was maybe insightful.
It is my take that some are more insightful, and some are more incitable than others.
Edwards - didn't bite.
Obama - inciting and incitable.
Clinton - inciteful. [*]
Yes, it is not a word.

[Scroll over candidate names above for my blogs. Unfortunately or fortunately, Edwards is more filtered: I was trying not to be self-serving, but finally hit on a tangent that came back to the point. Well this is not my usual rant, rave or ramble. Well yes it is, because I never know where I will go or end. But the challenge may be addressed by more questions answered by more questions?(see previous sentence)

Originally a look at the needs of LeftyBlog found this:
Remember, LeftyBlogs.com is for local progressive political blogs with original content. Some questions:

Truth Tellers

Thom Hartmann notes that the truth teller of the Democrats is Kucinich and for the Republicans it is Ron Paul, who notes the history of the Republican party as against wars. And thanks to a quick google, the first few paragraphs hits it out of the park **. "Way out", as it is put there. Or a slam dunk if you will.

That was still the situation when Clinton was president and even when the current Bush was campaigning against being nation builders and policeman to the world. Another point in this regard is that old Bush in a China Shop metaphor where:
when we broke it, we don't own it, but we might pay for it.

Final note: On Unity08 plans for a bipartisan ticket, I think it is crazy or at minimum won't work. Now, not that it won't succeed. But not necessarily for the country. It really is hard to take a negative attitude with something that seems so middle of the road, but then if we put the people in the middle of the road, they may just get run down. OK! So metaphors may not work, but the may make a point, and getting somewhere that has a point is the "hard work". There! Does that make any progress on the point. Well it may just be going round and round, but that may be another result, not that I am trying to get the geometry covered. But now that I have run that into the ground, I will take a tangent and note that there may be room for dialogue on the third party or third or fourth way. Dialogue and debate is happening within each party. If there are any outliers. Those hanging back; LaRouche (may get the point); Nader (I am not so sure); Bloomberg or Hagel; or not lastly Wesley Clark. But above we have noted, and I believe I recall now that my comparison (if not noted earlier) was between Ron Paul and LaRouche rather than Kucinich, that there are certain mavericks but at least they are participating now. I would harken back to my point about Red and Blue America and the threat to the green. It must be noted that "at the risk of being obvious" must have been too deep and the PI editors* changed my word "green" to "color" which put a completely different tint on my letter. My point is that Unity08 may be more about the green and may not get us out of seeing red.

*(In the last line of "the threat to the green" link, which may have been a threat to someone's green, if not not black and white enough to fit their grey matter.)
